Melissa's First Solo Flight

Age 37, currently working for a print management company in Fort Worth. Loved flying since I was a little girl - my parents would take me to ABE near where I grew up in Pennsylvania to watch the planes take off and land most evenings and we'd listen to the air traffic control communication with them while we watched, I think that's what had me hooked; it just seemed so exciting! Also my uncle took me for my first airplane ride when I was 4 or 5 years old in a Piper airplane, and in later years would fly me back and forth between Allentown and Philadelphia to visit family (it was more fun to fly with him then sit in a car for the hour long drive!). Since then I've wanted to learn to fly, and finally found myself in a position where I could pursue my interest.
Recently married a pilot (also a CFI) with whom I fly around with in his airplanes (Piper Cub, Great Lakes), and also received some initial instruction from him in the Cub. Signed on with Skymavs so I could develop my flying skills further, learn radio communications, etc. Goal is to get my private, then continue to earn additional ratings, perhaps consider a career in aviation as I progress.
